Social Ministry Leaders Installed
After the sermon given Friday morning by Rev. Dr. Mark S. Hanson, former Presiding Bishop of the ELCA, The Rev. Claire Burkat, Bishop, asked Sister Jane Roper and Pastor Jennifer Ollikainen to come forward.
Reading from Romans, which mentions the church as having one body but many members, Bishop Burkat installed Sister Jane Roper to the special ministry of Executive on Duty Registered Nurse.

“Not all have the same function,” said Bishop Burkat. “Our gifts differ according to the grace given us.”
She also installed Pastor Jennifer Ollikainen to the special ministry of Executive Director of Lutheran Congregational Services
“You have been called to lead the larger church. Serve to the glory of God,” she said. The Congregation then rose to affirm their witness of the installation and their willingness to support the two women in their new positions.
