Congregations, Faith in action
December 12, 2018 inRedeemer, Jamison holds Redeemerfest on the first Saturday of October. It is a beautiful example of faith in action. All proceeds from Redeemerfest support a local charity. In 2017 it was the Food Pantry at St Johns, Hatboro. In 2018 it was the Code Blue Project of the Bucks County Coalition to Support and Shelter the Homeless.
Admission includes access to the inflatable bounce house; pumpkin chunking; other kids activities; dancing to German music; dinner catered by Otto’s, a local German restaurant; and even home brew made by Redeemer’s Brew Club.
A tombola auction of items donated by members (including a few bicycles) and local restaurants and merchants show the faith of those who donate as well as those who purchase the tombola tickets.
In addition to the event providing fellowship for the faithful and typically raising around $2,000 for the local charity, the event also attracts members from the unchurched community and shows them how Christians share God’s love.
