Gifts Overflow from Christmas Ingathering

More than 75 SEPA congregations participated in the 2011 Christmas Ingathering sponsored by Liberty Lutheran Services on Dec. 4.  In all congregations donated more than $31,800 in gifts and donations for foster children served by Lutheran Children and Family Service, as well as 40 backpacks for LCFS children, $500 baby items for the Nurse-Family Partnership, $600 and a van-load of soap for the Seamen’s Church Institute, and 127 bags of food. The Ingathering collected 103 kits for local institutions and, for Lutheran World Relief, 64 layette kits, 355 school kits, 44 sewing kits, 337 health kits and 431 quilts.
