COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING BRUNCH…On Wednesday, Nov. 25 a collaboration of non-profits are offering “THANKSGIVING BRUNCH” (hot breakfast & dinner) to over 700 families experiencing food insecurity in Kensington. The meals will be prepared in St Michael’s “safe food certified” kitchen, and delivered to McPhearson Park & Last Stop Recovery Center in Kensington. We will also be purchasing winter coats and distributing them. All sharing is free to participants.
WEEKLY FOOD DISTRIBUTION… This is an ongoing effort by St Michael’s Church, feeding about 70 families weekly. We accept food donations (mostly non-perishable). The Church supplements these food “gift bag” by purchasing fresh protein and vegetables. We also deliver over 100 lunches to McPheason Park & Last Stop Recovery Center in Kensington.
