Bishop Penman Installed Sept. 14, 2024
On Saturday, September 14th hundreds of people gathered in the sanctuary of the Philadelphia Episcopal Cathedral and across sacred cyberspace to celebrate the installation of the Rev. Bryan Penman as the sixth Bishop of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Synod!
More than one hundred people shared their time and talent in the service and in supportive roles throughout the day. We thank Bishop Eaton who presided and the Rev. Dr. Jenn Phelps who preached. We thank the music directors, Ms. Carolyn Jackson and Deacon Tom Snyder; the musicians Kairi Wilson, Rick Tucker, and Emily Ballentine Erb; and all who shared their voices and gifts in the service. We thank Bishop Gutierrez and the entire staff of the Philadelphia Episcopal Cathedral for sharing your beautiful space with our synod. And we thank everyone who served in the service, and all who joined us in celebration, prayer, and praise!
