SEPA Lutherans pack Camp Victor

About 60 SEPA Lutherans worked at Camp Victor, Ocean Springs MS the week of Feb 8-14.  The churches sending teams include:

• Advent Lutheran, Harleysville
• St. Pauls, Telford
• St. James, Philadelphia
• St. john’s, Sumneytown
• St. Mark’s pennsburg
• St. Matthew’s Chester Springs
• Trinitiy Lutheran, Fairview Village
• Trinity Lutheran, Lansdale

Lutheran Disaster Response staff from Liberty Lutheran Services coordinated the effort with the goal of providing a synod-wide opportunity for serving and to provide opportunities for those interested in disaster response to get to know each other for better response at home.
 
In addition to sending volunteers, teams brought with them prayers, supplies and gift cards from other folks back home in Pa. 
 
Also, furniture was collected from across SEPA and delivered to Grace Lutheran Church in Long Beach, MS for people who are moving into permanent housing. 
 
Another highlight is that during this same week, our people to know about the same number of brothers and sisters in Christ from the Southwest Pa synod.
