Job purpose
To lead (congregational worship) and support (accompany adult choirs) the mission and vision of Trinity Lutheran Church and its music ministry.

Essential Functions

• Planning/Preparation
  • Prepare and rehearse appropriate music for worship services
  • Submit title/arranger/copyright information for all music selected at least 2 weeks in advance.
• Worship/Music Leadership
  • Lead worship from the organ/piano for two Sunday morning services/week (Sunday) and one Saturday evening service/month (Saturday).
  • Lead special evening worship services, including (but not limited to): Seasonal Midweek services, Thanksgiving Eve, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Christmas Eve services.
  • Accompany regular Thursday evening adult choir rehearsals and special rehearsals as necessary.
• Organ Maintenance
  • Oversee the tuning and maintenance of the organ within the approved budget.

• Training/Experience
  • Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Music or related field or comparable experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar position is preferred.

Trinity’s Organ
The organ is a three-manual, seventy rank Martin Ott instrument with fifty-five stops.

Working conditions

This position works in office, rehearsal, and worship space environments for a standard work week with weekend and evening hours

• Allowances: use of facilities for personal private teaching; additional compensation for weddings, funerals, oversight of outside vendors (Oversight of vendors, tuning, maintenance, etc. should be part of the job?)or groups using worship/musical spaces.
