This professional is responsible for carrying out all administrative functions within the church and building in an efficient and timely way, enabling the pastors to focus on ministry to members and to the community.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Produce weekly and monthly worship materials;
• Manage communication initiatives: emails, newsletters, social media, website, brochures, posters, etc.;
• Design graphics and create written content as needed;
• Manage scheduling of Saint Luke facilities;
• Supervise office volunteers, providing training and coaching as needed;
• Respond to inquiries and refer to appropriate internal or community resources;
• Manage the Saint Luke information technology, including software, hardware, and service providers;
• Collaborate with the Sexton to manage the physical property including supplies, vendors and suppliers;
• Manage records retention in accordance with denominational (ELCA) guidelines;
• Define, with input from pastors and council, the overall administrative needs of Saint Luke and direct the accomplishment of tasks to meet those needs;
• Interface with staff, council members and other volunteer ministry teams to assure the effective, efficient operation of Saint Luke, leading ‘church operations’ meetings when appropriate.
