How do we connect meaningfully with our neighbors? How do I tell people about my faith without being like those folks who like to threaten others with fire and brimstone? If you have been asking yourself these kinds of questions\, you are not alone! We need new ways of sharing the Good News of Jesus and discerning how God is bringing the Gospel to life in our neighborhoods. Join together with churches are Northeast and Northwest Philly as we learn how to tell the old Gospel story in new ways so that we might join in the transforming work of God. You will leave this event with real\, practical tools to help you share your faith story and make faithful connections with your neighbors. \nThis event is completely free and lunch is provided. Well\, then do we have a day for you!\n\nRegistration is now open for Southeastern Pennsylvania Synod’s Annual Event\, In God’s Image: Shaping Your Ministry to be Inclusive and Safe for LGBTQIA+ Folk\, on Saturday\, October 9\, 9:00 am – 2:00 pm\, at St. John’s Lutheran Church\, Philadelphia (Mayfair). Deacon Ross Murray will be the keynote speaker and will present on his new book Made\, Known\, Loved: Developing LGBTQ Inclusive Youth Ministry. The cost is $10 per person.   \nUpdate: The morning worship and keynote address will be live streamed through a private link.
