Rev. Davenport Named to LSA Board

 

"Pat"The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) has appointed the Rev. Patricia Ann Davenport to the national Board of Lutheran Services in America, the Baltimore-based network of two Lutheran denominations and their over 300 health and human service organizations.

Lutheran Services in America (LSA) engages the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, The Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod, and their 310 related health and human service organizations. Together, LSA organizations serve more than six million Americans – or one in 50 – each year and have a combined annual income of more than $18 billion.

Rev. Patricia Ann Davenport is assistant to the bishop and director for evangelical mission in the Southeastern Pennsylvania Synod. Rev. Davenport’s responsibilities include working with new mission congregations and support to synod-wide congregations in the areas of evangelism, outreach and transformational ministry. Rev. Davenport joined the synod staff in November 2007.  She previously served as Pastor of Spirit and Truth Worship Center in Yeadon, Pennsylvania.  Pastor Davenport completed studies at the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia and was ordained as an ELCA pastor in September 2001.  She has previous experience working at the synod in the areas of urban, youth and redevelopment ministries. She will join the Board at the April 16, 2012 meeting.
