Southeastern Pennsylvania Synod is seeking a collaborative, detail-oriented individual to be Grant Administrator for Love Revolution. Lilly Endowment, Inc funded Love Revolution to help SEPA synod congregations evolve from an institutional church built on programs and resources and into a missional church built on relationship and service. The person fulfilling this contract will be responsible for Grant Administration of Love Revolution, skilled in administration, communication and finance, this person will assist the Grant Evaluator, Program Director and the Directors of Evangelical Mission live out this grant proposal. This part time position will be guided by the Program Director and fall under the supervision of our Bishop and the Directors of Evangelical Mission.
Responsibilities in support of Love Revolution:
Administration
Support day to day operations of the Grant including ensuring office activities related to the Grant run efficiently and smoothly
Answer calls, emails, and welcome volunteers in support of Love Revolution
Manage the supply inventory and office equipment that support the Grant
Coordinate and attend meetings and appointments including regular team meetings, retreats, cohort gatherings, synod learning days, and worship services. This includes event planning and registration and coordination of travel for speakers
Financial
Oversee accounting and record keeping, including grant funds, Grant staff expenditures, training, and other expenses related to administering the Grant
Assist with documentation of the grant funds and expenditures for regular reporting including preparing Lilly Endowment financial reports
Work with the Program Director, Grant Evaluator and SEPA Synod Senior Accountant to help ensure accurate and timely processing of grant funds
Communication
Support development of communication procedures for messaging to a variety of audiences including churches, Synod, and grant partners
Support preparation of Grant communication materials such as surveys, reports, marketing, curriculum, etc. for issuance through web sites, social media, direct mailings, etc.
Upkeep regular communications, updates, photos, and videos posted on social media
Team Work
Coordinate with Program Director, Synod Vitality Team, Synod Staff, Directors of Evangelical Mission, and Bishop to support generation of timelines and plans for the implementation of the Love Revolution grant program
Support the Love Revolution Grant Evaluator in development of both quantitative and qualitative metrics for evaluating the effectiveness of our Love Revolution outcomes
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Team player with a love for all God’s people interested in supporting relationship building
Prior experience in grant administration
Excellent financial management skills with the ability to track expenses
Prior experience in event planning and registration
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google and other relevant software applications
Highly Desirable Qualifications and Skills:
Fluency with internet, technology, and various social media platforms
Sensitivity to the diversity in our synod and willingness to strengthen skills in order to work effectively with all our diverse groups
Dedicated to collaboration with Synod staff and Synod teams, congregational leaders, and the institutions and agencies that relate to our synod
Commitment to the mission and values of Southeastern Pennsylvania Synod
This is a part-time contract position requiring 20 hours per week to administer the grant. The successful candidate will work in a hybrid schedule with some work done in-person at the synod office (7241 Germantown Ave, Philadelphia, PA) and other work done remotely. New Hire must have their own transportation. In-person attendance is expected to support preparation and hosting for all Love Revolution events (to be hosted in the greater Philadelphia area) and as needed to support Program Director, Bishop and Directors of Evangelical Mission.
