Volunteer with Liberty Hospice

Part of the Liberty Lutheran family of services, Liberty Hospice offers compassionate care to Philadelphia-area patients facing a life-limiting illness. Our hospice care team, which includes a medical director, social workers, chaplains, skilled nursing professionals, hospice aides, and volunteers, provides comprehensive support while helping patients and their families make the most of every moment.

Volunteers are a vital part of serving our hospice patients. By providing companionship, active listening, and socialization, specially trained volunteers help us carry out our tradition of service to families and patients. We are currently seeking volunteers in these areas!

Training and orientation is a high priority for our team. If you are interested, please click on the opportunities above to learn more, or visit libertylutheran.org/volunteer.

Liberty Hospice serves people of any age with a life expectancy of six months or less if the disease runs its normal course. While many hospice patients have a cancer diagnosis, hospice serves people with a wide variety of illnesses, including: cardiac, renal and neurological disease; Alzheimer’s disease and related cognitive disorders; ALS and pulmonary disease.
