Support the All Saints Appeal
“You are the light of the world… Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.”

Dear Beloved Saints of Southeastern Pennsylvania Synod,
Thank you for witnessing to God’s extravagant love and grace in this five-county region around Philadelphia. You are the beloved community. We are grateful for all our saints!
Equipping the saints for ministry is the work of the synod:
We currently nurture 35 candidates for ministry who are exploring a call to rostered ministry in the ELCA. Our candidates are supported through learning events, financial assistance for seminary expenses, and staffing and committee relationships for conversations about living into God’s call to proclaim the Good News.
Our Committee of Deans, Director for Mobility, and Director of Interims walk alongside the 24 congregations who are currently in transition within our synod. We pray for and search out rostered ministers who can best guide each of our congregations in their mission to serve their communities and contexts. This team supports call committees and church councils in their discernment.
SEPA’s congregational vitality team and our Director for Evangelical Mission are working with the deans and congregations to strengthen their relationship with God, nurture relationships that build engagement in the church’s mission, and be a strong presence in the community. We provide tools to discover and assess your own congregational health and explore in-depth characteristics of thriving and vital congregations.
Our synod youth ministry provides opportunities for spiritual growth and equips congregations to strengthen their ministry with and for youth. We share the word of God’s saving grace with youth, deepen their walk of discipleship, and build their leadership skills to encourage faith-sharing in everyday life.

The All Saints Appeal of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Synod launched as way for us to strengthen relationships with our siblings in Christ throughout the synod and to make sure that our work together is funded to sustain the mission God has given us.
You are the light of the world. With your help, the stories of God’s faithfulness will continue to be told in our synod. People will see our SEPA saints and praise God.
